Carol has been an enthusiastic celebrity clown for several years. She was born and raised in Toronto and recalls fondly her parents taking her to the Santa Claus Parade every year as a small child. Carol is thrilled to be able to participate every year and put the same smile on children's faces that she herself experienced many years ago. When not clowning around, Carol is the stewardship behind Bedford Park Associates, which does consulting to financial services firms on strategic planning for operations and data and technology optimization for investment processes in Canada, the U.S., Europe and works with many multi-national firms. She has written white papers and is a passionate speaker at conferences to help disseminate knowledge and find solutions on the challenges with technology and in operations for financial services.

Apart from the joy she gets helping the Santa Claus Parade be a great event every year, her "unofficial" passions of wine and cooking, Carol is a patron of the Toronto International Film Festival and is a film junkie. Carol has been to Antarctica and crossed the Arctic Circle twice, but has not stumbled across Santa's home in her travels - she does, however, find him in body and spirit every year at the parade and is honoured to be associated with this long-standing Canadian event!

Extending its success beyond international borders over the past 10 years, Maritz Canada has been recognized as the global agency of record for Nortel, IBM and Research In Motion (RIM) - servicing international offices from its Canadian base. In the last 8 years, Mr. Macdonald has evolved the focus of the business towards the consumer market, a new foray for Maritz and a natural compliment to a deep 115 year history of providing performance improvement solutions within the business-to-business landscape.
