GO Transit

GO is making it easier to join the fun with special GO Train trips on all GO lines. Train service will run on the Milton, Kitchener, Barrie, Stouffville, Lakeshore East and West GO lines.

You can buy special-priced GO day passes for travel to and from the parade at most GO Stations.

  • Take 401 E
  • Exit to Allen Rd. South
  • Turn Right on Eglinton Ave. W
  • Turn Left on Dufferin St.
  • Turn Left onto Bloor St.
  • Parade begins at Christie St. and Bloor St.

From the East

  • Take 401 W
  • Exit to Don Valley Pkwy.
  • Take Bloor St. Exit
  • Take Bloor St. W Until you reach Avenue Rd.

From the North

  • Take 404 S
  • 404 becomes Don Valley Pkwy.
  • Exit at Bloor St.
  • Take Bloor St. W until you reach Avenue Rd.

The Parade Experience

Plan the best Parade experience.

From what to pack to where to park, a little planning can go a long way come Parade day.

Cold

Brrrr. It’s cold.

You just never know what the weather will be like on Parade day. So pack lots of layers. Fill a backpack with gloves, scarves, and hats. Santa takes his time and you can get cold waiting - so come prepared.

Best place to see the parade

Best place to see the Parade.

No matter where you stand along the route, you'll see the parade in all its glory. Just be sure to arrive early. Spots fill up fast.

Can't make it to the Parade? The Santa Claus Parade will air on all CTV stations (except CTV Atlantic) on Sun, Nov 15th from 430-6pm (all markets will air the 90 min show). In Atlantic Canada it will air on CTV TWO also from 430-6pm.

Wheelchair Accessible

Is there a wheelchair accessible area along the Parade route?

The designated physical disability viewing area is on University Avenue at College Street.

TTC Subway Stop

Which TTC subway stop should I get off at?

There are numerous TTC stops along the parade route, they include: Christie, Bathurst, Spadina St. George, Museum, Queen’s Park, St. Patrick, Osgoode, Queen, and King Stations.

Food Locations

There are numerous Tim Hortons, McDonalds and Pizza Pizza locations along the parade route. Plus hundreds of delicious restaurants and convenience stores.

Green Parade

Hot cocoa is an essential part of the parade experience. If you can, please pack your reusable eco-mugs. Not only do they keep cocoa warm, but they make way less trash for our city’s streets.

Santa works on North Pole time. Waiting for the parade to start can be tough on little ones. Come prepared with colouring books and toys. Try out the Santa Parade iPhone App-kids love it.

When will the parade get to my spot?

It takes about 2.5 hours for the whole parade to go by if you’re standing in one spot, but due to other factors, we can’t estimate when it will reach you. On the day of the parade, you can join the conversation on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to see where the parade is!

Television

The 111th annual Santa Claus Parade will air on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 4:30 ET/PT on CTV, and 5:30 p.m. AT on CTV Atlantic, and on CTV GO.

Get Red Nose Ready

To show your love and support for the season, wear a red nose to the parade. They only cost $2 a nose, or you can get three for $5. Sold by the Air Cadets, this jolly initiative funds parades to come, it helps out our Cadets and on parade day, gives everything a gleeful glow! You don't have to wait until Parade Day to get your red nose and show your holiday spirit.

Wear your parade day spirit on your nose! On November 13th, 14th and on the day of the parade, red noses will available at the following locations for only $2. All proceeds will go towards The Santa Claus Parade and the 180 Mosquito Air Cadets.
